Today's theme is Best Book Boyfriends. There are many a swoon-worthy fictional character I've met this year, but here are my top 10. I managed to put these in order somehow, so enjoy. P.S. THERE MAY BE SPOILERS AHEAD, so if you haven't read that book or through that book in a series, steer clear.
no. 10 - Leon from Dark Star by Bethany FrenetteLeon's a smart guy. He also works with a superhero, and is super funny whenever he and Audrey have their sarcastic battles. Leon's also a really great guy- he's protective, sweet, and really loyal. I can't wait to see more of him and Audrey in Burning Bright!
no. 9 - Stephen from The Madness Underneath by Maureen JohnsonI'm so glad we saw more of Stephen in this book. He's a really great guy- serious, but a lot of amazing qualities to him. That ending, though? That was a punch in the stomach. I really want to read The Shadow Cabinet!
no. 8 - Aiden St. Delphi from Apollyon by Jennifer L. ArmentroutOk, so I was Team Seth in the Covenant series, but I always really did like Aiden as well. And although I haven't read Sentinel yet (I'm so sad to see this series end!) Aidan has definitely been an incredible guy for Alex. After everything they've been through, and how amazing Aiden's been through it all, he deserves a spot on this list.
no. 7 - Dante Walker from The Collector, The Liberator by Victoria ScottDante is an awesome guy. In the beginning, he's funny, cocky, and self assured, but through these two books he has come so far. Dante's loyal, sweet, strong, and such an incredible character. He's a sweetheart who's willing to do anything for the one he loves. Plus, he's Dante Walker, so of course he's an amazing book boyfriend!
no. 6 - Jem Carstairs from Clockwork Princess by Cassandra ClareJem is such a sweetheart. The entire series I wanted him to find happiness. He puts everyone first, and has made some huge sacrifices in his already difficult life. I love Jem because he's kind, thoughtful, devoted, and an amazing violin player. I cried for Jem a lot in this book, but I was so happy for him in the end.
no. 5 - Will Herondale from Clockwork Princess by Cassandra ClareYes, Will's here, too. Will is an avid reader, so of course I love him as well. He's also had a really difficult life. In this book, I really began to appreciate Will's character even more. That epilogue saw a lot of tears.
no. 4 - Maxon from The Elite by Kiera CassMaxon deserves a spot because he was incredible in this book. Seriously, America was so annoying in this sequel that I'm hesitant about The One because she's been such a brat! But Maxon was a good guy; he always is.
no. 3 - Gavriel from The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly BlackGavriel. My beloved mad poet. He's such a wonderful character. Gavriel's thoughtful, mysterious, super awesome, and I loved every scene with him in it. I mean, Gavriel's just an incredible character, so of course he's an awesome book boyfriend.
no. 2 - Warner from Unravel Me by Tahereh MafiOh, the feels in this book. I've loved Warner's character for awhile, and I'm so glad we read about him in Destroy Me. Unravel Me? The best one so far! I loved how much Warner was in this book. He's such a sensitive, loving, protective guy. He's definitely a wonderful book boyfriend.
no. 1 - Morpheus from Splintered by A.G. HowardMysterious. Magical. Witty. Morpheus is awesome. I loved him in Splintered, loved him in The Moth in the Mirror, and I CAN'T WAIT FOR UNHINGED.
So there are my beloved book boyfriends from this year. Who were your fictional crushes?
From a paper world,
V
