Ah, Wednesdays. A time to look ahead at some wonderful books that are coming. I'm talking about Waiting on Wednesday, the weekly meme hosted at Breaking the Spine, and it's a lot of fun to post these weekly and talk about some exciting upcoming books. This week is yet another conclusion to a series- there seems to be a lot of series wrapping up this year. For this week? Let's talk about the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor.
If you're wondering if you should pick up this series, one of the best words to summarize it is beautiful. The writing style creates these vivid images of some incredible worlds and people. Not going to lie, I thought about dying my hair peacock blue after being introduced to Kaoru. Prague and everywhere else in the novel really come to life. It's magical how Laini Taylor has made this scenery and story that completely captivating. After the ending of Days of Blood and Starlight...I am so excited to know what happens! Dreams of Gods and Monsters is the third and final book in the trilogy. Want to see an awesome cover?
