This year, I'm sharing my top pick for each category, along with a few honorable mentions. Series I've Started in 2015 - The First Half of 2015 Day 3

Welcome to Paper Worlds and Swirls of Ink! Around the end of June of last year, The First Half of 2014 was a way for me to look back at the books I'd read and share my thoughts on them. I've always loved end of the year posts and looking back at favorite reads, so I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts now as well. This year, I've decided to categorize the books in ways such as debut, sequel, etc. and share my top pick for the category along with a few honorable mentions.

Today we're talking about series I've started this year. Some of these are series that just came out in 2015, some are new to me by authors I've never read, and some are new series by authors I've read before. I ended up starting quite a few new series this year, and so I looked through and decided on my favorite (and a few extras of course!) to share with you all.

Favorite First Book in a Series I've Read So Far:
Honorable Mentions:

I hope you all enjoyed the third day of The First Half of 2015! If you'd like to share what series you've started reading and enjoying this year, feel free to let me know in the comments! I'll be back tomorrow for day 4 of The First Half of 2015.

Favorite Sequels of 2015 - The First Half of 2015 Day 2

Today is the second day of The First Half of 2015 mini series. This is just a way to reflect on books that I've read thus far into the year, and share my favorites. Last year, I broke up the days by genre and shared my top 5 picks for each. However, as I haven't been reading as much this year, I decided to share my top pick for today's category, which is talking about sequels to series I've read so far this year.

Favorite Sequel I've Read So Far:

Honorable Mentions:
Dead of Winter by Kresley Cole, the third book in The Arcana Chronicles
I have yet to review Dead of Winter, but here are my reviews for the first two novels in the series, Poison Princess and Endless Knight. Let me know if you'd like a review of this novel!

Here's my pick, along with a few honorable mentions, for today's theme for The First Half of 2015. If you'd like, let me know what sequels you've read and enjoyed this year, and any series you'd recommend! I'll be back tomorrow for Day 3 of The First Half of 2015!

Welcome to the First Half of 2015!

Welcome to Paper Worlds and Swirls of Ink! I'm so excited to be back with another installment of The First Half of the Year mini series! I did this last year with The First Half of 2014, and for the mini series last year I divided up the books I read by genre. This year, I hadn't had as much time to read sadly, but I've decided to rework the posts a little for this year. Instead of going by genre, we'll be talking about different types of books, such as debut novels, sequels, etc.

Since it's the first day of the mini series, I want to share my favorite debut that I've read so far this year.

Day 1- Introduction, Sharing my favorite debut of the year that I've read
Winner:
This novel was absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to write a review on it for you all, as not only is it my favorite debut of the year and my favorite read of the year, this novel is one of my all time favorite books.

If you'd like to share, I would love to know what 2015 debuts you all have read and your thoughts on them! I'll be back tomorrow with another post for The First Half of 2015.
