It's another installment of getting excited for some books coming out this month! February has some amazing series continuations I've been looking forward to, and there are tons of books I can't wait for. As with January's, these are not all the YA releasing in February, these are just some of my favorites. If you want a much more comprehensive list that shows most of the YA releases every week, I would recommend the This Week in YA Youtube Channel. Now, on to my picks for February!
These are in publication order, and my top 2 just happen to be at the beginning, so enjoy!

Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
Cress by Marissa Meyer
Alienated by Melissa Landers
Landry Park by Bethany Hagen
Ignite Me! I've been waiting quite awhile for this. I've been Team Warner since Shatter Me, since I've always felt like there was more to his character than we saw in that book and Destroy Me was by far the best novella I've ever read. I'm so sad to see the conclusion of this incredible series, but at least it's ending with one of the prettiest covers I've seen for 2014! And the Lunar Chronicles, of which Cress is the third, have recently been getting a lot of attention in book blogs and Booktube. They're really well written and unique versions of a retelling. I'm hoping to pick Cress up and read both it and its predecessor Scarlet very soon. Alienated is one I saw on Goodreads and a lot of people have expressed interest in it. Aliens are becoming very popular in YA, and this sounds like an interesting rendition. Finally, Landry Park I added after authors were giving some of their picks for the new year and I heard about this one.

Lady Thief by A.C. Gaughen
Split Second by Kasie West
White Space by Ilsa J. Bick
Quite a few books are coming out just a week after the four before! Scarlet is a book I read years ago and, as a fairy tale retelling fan, I loved the unique retelling. I'm so excited a sequel- Lady Thief- is finally coming out, and where Scarlet's tale continues. I haven't read Pivot Point by Kasie West, but I've heard such fantastic things about it. I'm excited to read both of them sometime this year. I have never read anything by Ilsa J. Bick, but I found this book on Listopia (I have a habit of scrolling through them when I'm just browsing for books to read) and it interested me enough to add it.

Forget Me Not by Stacey Nash
This is Stacey Nash's first book, so reading this could count towards the 2014 Debut Author Challenge for me. Its synopsis interested me enough when I saw it back on one of the 'Upcoming YA of 2014' type Listopias on Goodreads.

Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott
Burn Bright by Bethany Frenette
The Secret Diamond Sisters by Michelle Madow
I love Victoria Scott's Dante Walker series, and so I was so excited to hear about her new work. This book sounds very intense, too. I've had the countdown in my blog sidebar since December, and I'm so glad it's coming out this month! Burn Bright is the sequel to Dark Star, which I picked up early in 2013- it seemed so different as a superhero influenced YA. It was a really good book, so I'm excited for the sequel. The Secret Diamond Sisters I learned about through Goodreads.
So, there are the books I have added for February 2014. I think it's going to be a great month for new releases, and I can't wait to read some more. Let me know if any of these made your list, or what your top picks are. Are you a Shatter Me series fan too?
From the paper world,

I am most excited for Cress this month! And Split Second but I keep seeing different dates for it so not sure when it's officially out which is annoying! Hope you enjoy all of these. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the delayed response! I'm really excited for Split Second, I'm acutally picking up Pivot Point right now! Yay, I'm so excited for another Lunar Chronicles fan. Thank you :)
