These are in no particular order.
no. 10 - Angelfall by Susan Ee - I don't know why, but lately I've really been wanting to read this book. Hopefully this season will see it in my TBR pile.
no. 9 - The Diviners by Libba Bray - I loved the Gemma Doyle trilogy so much, and while rereading that series has been an idea I've been considering for awhile, reading The Diviners is definitely going to happen soon. A 20's supernatural murder mystery written by an amazing author? Sign me up!
no. 8 - Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi - Since this is a Winter TBR themed post, I'm assuming that will carry on into January, which is when I plan to read this book. I don't know much about it except that it's very well known and I'm interested in checking it out.
no. 7 - Unhinged by A.G. Howard - I've already featured this in a Waiting on Wednesday post, so let's just say that I love this series, it's one of my all time favorites, and this sequel is definitely a book I can't wait for. (edit: due to technical difficulties, this photo isn't inserted, but I'll link the Goodreads page here.)
no. 6 - Crash and Burn by Michael Hassan - This book sounds completely different from what I've read, and I've heard amazing reviews.
no. 5 - Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - I'm planning on reading some Contemporary YA in February, so of course I had to include Fangirl in this!
no. 4 - Ink by Amanda Sun - I love the idea of this book, that it takes place in Japan, and that I've heard great things about it!
no. 3 - Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Maston - Yes, another contemporary. I normally don't read contemporary ever, so I thought it might be February appropriate to read some. Do you know any good ones? Comment below and let me know!
no. 2 - Across the Universe by Beth Revis - Another series I've heard amazing things about, and I'm hoping to start it sometime this winter.
no. 1 - The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater - I wasn't a fan of Shiver, but I have The Scorpio Races and I started reading that and it really drew me in. I've heard even better things about The Raven Boys, so I can't wait to check it out.
So there are a few books I'm thinking about reading this winter. For December, there's no promises for any books, but a few of these novels are planned for some 2014 TBRs. There are so many great books that I can't wait to read! Do you have any books that you can't wait to read in your Winter TBR?
From a paper world,
V
I really liked The Raven Boys, it took a little while for me to get into the story, but once I started reading, I really struggled to put it down. Amy and Roger is one of my favourite contemporaries, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my Top Ten.
I really enjoyed your list! And I'm glad you liked The Raven Boys; I've only read Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater before and didn't like that too much, but I've heard good things about this book. I'm also planning on reading The Scorpio Races by her as well. Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteGreat list! Fangirl is fantastic. I'm currently reading the Gemma Doyle trilogy and am definitely feeling like I should read The Diviners after this.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, The Gemma Doyle trilogy was wonderful! Libba Bray is an incredible author. I checked out your blog- I'll comment about your list there, but I really like your blog! Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteAngelfall was fantastic! I absolutely loved it. Along with Under the Never Sky, and I think the second book, Through the Ever Night was even better. I don't think you'll be disappointed! The only book I have read from Libba Bray is Beauty Queens, which was outstanding and I am definitely wanting to read more from her. Great List!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to read them! I haven't read Beauty Queens, but thanks for telling me about it! She's a great author :) I loved your list- there are so many books on there that I loved! I'll comment over on there too; thanks for stopping by!
DeleteRaven Boys is excellent. I'm using it for my thesis. If you have any familiarity with Arthurian lore, it'll be a great read.
ReplyDeleteI am not very familiar with it, but I do have some knowledge. There's actually a book I added on Goodreads today as a 2014 debut- Camelot Burning, which is a YA Camelot novel. I'm not sure how accurate it'd be, but since you mentioned Arthurian I thought you might want to check it out on Goodreads. Thanks for stopping by and good luck with your thesis!
DeleteFantastic picks this week! Fangirl is one of my top books for 2013, and Across the Universe and Under the Never Sky are long-time favorites as well. I've been wanting to read Diviners and Amy & Roger are books I've been wanting to read for a while.

Thanks! I really liked your list too! I'm really excited for all the books in the pile; and I've heard so much about Across the Universe and Under the Never Sky as well, so I'm hoping to pick them up soon. Glad you enjoyed them!
DeleteI loved Scorpio Races which is what made me want to read The Raven Boys and I was not disappointed. Also, Amy and Roger's Epic Detour is a fun/cute contemporary novel. I'd also recommend anything by Sara Zarr (How to Save a Life is especially appropriate for the winter, because it takes place in the winter).
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the info on the books! I'm glad you liked Scorpio Races, I read the prologue and it was a really good start, but I had another book I was reading at the time so hopefully I'll be able to get to that one sometime. I've heard a lot about Amy and Rodger's- thanks for telling me about How to Save a Life, and thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteI LOVED Across the Universe, and really enjoyed Under the Never Sky and The Raven Boys as well! And Fangirl sounds so good. It's like my #1 book to buy if I get any kind of gift card for Christmas! Hope you get to read all of these books this winter!
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited to read it, I've heard it's like These Broken Stars- loved your review of that by the way!- and yay for the other two as well! And I know, Fangirl has becomes so popular can't wait to read. Hope your winter is filled with books too thanks :)
